Dr. Scott Glickman is a board certified, multiple fellowship trained neurosurgeon and founder of the Center for Neurosurgery Las Vegas with subspecialty training in neurotrauma and neurocritical care, complex spinal disorders, and acute care neurosurgery. He has extensive experience with traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, spinal and brain tumors, deep brain stimulators, Chiari malformations and the craniocervical junction, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, and neurovascular disorders, brain recovery, spinal fractures and reconstruction. He is involved in clinical research on intracranial pressure, spinal reconstruction, multimodal treatment of neuropathy, hemorrhagic stroke, and the impact of obesity in neurosurgery.
His clinical experience has included several states throughout the US, but relocated to Las Vegas in 2017. He focuses on providing the highest quality care for complex neurological conditions and injuries. He aims for optimal outcomes, communication, and patient satisfaction. Neurosurgical conditions and operative interventions burden both patients and families. Dr. Glickman prides himself on straightforward explanation of these conditions and a direct approach to the best care, as well as goal and likely outcomes, even if that is not good news. He takes osteopathic principles seriously, and considers the whole patient and their specific problems to formulate the best plan of care.
Dr. Glickman has authored numerous articles, presents frequently at national and international symposia, and is involved in resident, student, PA, and nursing education. He instructs ATLS and served on the Ethics Committee of the Neurocritical Care Society and the Exercise Committee with the North American Spine Society as well as various committees in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is a member of several committees and serves as the Trauma Liaison, Spine Program Director, and Medical Director of the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit at various hospitals in Las Vegas. In addition he teaches other physicians surgical techniques through continuing education programs.
