Dr. Dawn Olsen is originally from Maryland. She obtained her undergraduate degree in biology at University of Maryland Baltimore County. She moved to Arizona in 1997 to complete her master's degree in Medical Science. She then worked for nearly a decade as a vascular surgery physician assistant under the tutelage of Dr. Edward B Diethrich at Arizona Heart Hospital. She was encouraged to pursue medicine and went on to obtain her medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her residency at University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. There she completed a "0 and 5" Integrated Vascular Surgery program. She returned to Arizona and is in private practice with 4 other surgeons. She is currently the president of the Edward B. Dietrich Vascular Surgery Society, She resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and 2 daughters.
